It all started in April 2005, when Apex founders Lonnie Purvis and Marya Woods set out to provide high quality automation systems integration services to manufacturers and processors in the Boise, Idaho area. Initially, Apex's first "offices" were their homes and coffee shops. They didn't plan on hiring their first employee for at least three years but Apex's work was in such high demand that hiring plan only lasted three months...
Today, Apex is officially a part of the A&E Engineering company. A&E Engineering, based in South Carolina, is an agile systems integrator providing project management, engineering, integration, electrical construction, software, fabrication and commissioning to manufacturing clients globally.
